God loves you and wants you to have peace and joy that only He can bring.  God has a plan for your life. He knew you before he formed you in the womb. He says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made.  He wants you to have a good life. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16, KJV).  When God created the Heavens and the earth and put man in the garden of eden, sin entered in the world through the disobedience of Adam and Eve. We are born into that sin, into a sinful world and by nature we are sinners. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23, KJV). God is Holy. We are sinful, and “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23, KJV).  Sin seperates us from God but God’s love bridges the separation between you and Him. When Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave, He paid the penalty for our sins. The Bible says, “ Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.‘” (1 Peter 2:24, KJV).You cross the bridge into God’s family when you accept Jesus Christ’s free gift of salvation. The Bible says, “But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12).

To be saved, a person needs to do four things:

* Admit that you are a sinner.

* Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ, Son of God died on a cross for your sins, was buried and rose from the grave after 3 days.

*  Call upon the name of the Lord and

*  Ask Him to forgive you your sins and ask Jesus to come into your life and give you the Holy Spirit.

Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

 

Here’s a prayer you can pray to receive Jesus Christ:

 

Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I want to turn from my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want Him to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
